[►] I went back to C88 and found this dress and immediately..instantly fell in love with it. I must be weird though, because my first thought wasn’t to find cute heels and get all girliefied…my first thoughts were 1-combat boots and 2-pissed off, jilted bride. So I dug through my inventory and found a way to make that happen..sorta..I think I kinda look like a jilted bride crossed with Madonna..with a little bit of punk and rock-a-billy thrown in there. So here it is. ❤

[►] Oh my gooood, I have been so busy this week! RL has been insaneee! But I managed to make a little time tonight to grab a few shots for you all. So many pretties here! The new Glam Affair skin is beautiful..sooo beautiful. I know it’s been all over blogs and feeds, and I’m probably a little late to the game in showing you guys, but wow..really. I love it so much. ColdLogic’s newly released dresses are adorable, too. There are so many different colors and patterns..and just in time for spring/summer! I’m also lovin the new mesh hairs from ploom lately, they are definitely worth being demoed! [►] In case you hadn’t heard…MESH is out!! To be honest, I’m not super informed about mesh, but I wanted to give it a shot and see what I could pull together. When I got the notice that JANE had released a bunch of new Mesh items, I knew I’d have to struggle through the instability of the SLV3 and make my way over there. FORTUNATELY for me…when I bought the demo, there was a NC included that said Kirsten’s viewer is also mesh enabled, so I installed the newest build and it worked like a charm! This post is a bit picture heavy, but I wanted to show you the flexibility that is mesh. I have to say, I’m impressed! I hadn’t been very excited about mesh until I was able to try it on myself and feel it out. These shorts and this skirt from JANE are just lovely. If you pay attention to the photos, you’ll notice that the mesh items bend with your avi, so with mesh..no more legs sticking through and that kinda stuff! Jane has done an amazing job with these and I have a couple more pieces that I’ll be showing you guys soon! I’m curious to see how well mesh does, I foresee great things…however I think there are some bugs that have to be worked out with viewers, etc. You may be wondering about Mesh and how (or if!) it will affect your SL at all. There are tons of resources available, but I highly recommend the article written by Rob Moonites in Opulent Magazine. It’s very informative and helpful! Or you can message me in world and I’ll give you what limited answers I have! 😛

[►] I wanted to wait a few days after Amy Winehouse’s death to do this post. Such an amazing talent and troubled soul was lost in her death. I couldn’t help but notice how much controversy there was with discussion of her death this weekend. So many people “weren’t surprised” or thought “she brought it on herself” and then just as many were troubled by the passing of a young talent. Mourning her death doesn’t mean someone mourns anothers death any less, either. I’ve made my opinion known in more than one place. Whether you feel she lived a wreckless life or whether you deeply mourn her loss, the truth remains that every death is someone’s tragedy. I think we should bear that in mind when we pass our judgements or attempt to qualify another persons lifes value.
